Danya, previously known as Bubble Lodge, is a presenter, performer and storyteller. She is a charismatic public speaker, articulate and cheeky, a natural storyteller and a born communicator.
She has been storytelling for many years, for children and adults alike; on stage, at events, forums, conferences and gatherings; in businesses and within school settings. She writes stories herself and retells those drawn from tales, myths and legends from around the world.
She enjoys training; sharing her love for stories, poems and songs whilst offering skills and techniques to weave into everyday lives.
In 2009 Danya and her storytelling colleague, Louise Coigley, performed "It was a Dark and Stormy Night" a storytelling show based on the wonderful book by Janet and Alan Ahlberg at The Scottish Storytelling Centre at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. They were thrilled to be named in The List's hit list for top 5 children's shows to see.
In 2006 she founded the Fosse Way kindergarten, an independent school inspired by the philosophies of Rudolf Steiner.
Her interest in storytelling was rekindled when in 2002 she attended the internationally renowned Jacques Lecoq theatre school in Paris as a student of mime, improvisation and physical theatre.
Prior to that in 2001, she gave birth to a daughter and produced, via Wizard Presents, the West End musical All You Need is Love, devised and directed by her husband and business partner, John Miller. These two concurrent events form the subject of the performance piece Hello Goodbye.
She was the first female theatre manager in London's West End, and was in Senior Management as General Manager and Chief Executive of theatres in the West End and the regions.
Danya studied Drama, Dance and English at Bretton Hall College, Leeds University.
Danya has been writing her own personal diaries and daily pages since 1977.
